Review:
Opening up with the beautiful pianoforte of Satie, the dissonant atmosphere of Vangelis lifts the energy level up a notch. The introduction of the KLF remix jars the listener into alertness for a pleasant trip down memory lane. An over-enthusiastic layering of Disco Ate My Baby hints at what could have been a better mix, from here however, things settle down a bit in the beat matching department, but in true telaxu style remains loose and energetic, as he ploughs through some bass heavy tech and late night acid. This leads into a great crescendo of track blending that all started with Hitbox, Do us Part and Reflekt and ends with the somewhat epic Samuel L Sessions remix of Home. A grooving respite in the form of Sol is transformed into a melancholic ponderance in the form of Korrado (a killer track IMHO) with some late night, darker mood techno to follow. Not a great mix from Nomans Land to Stronger, but finishing up with some uplifiting high energy club techno just for the hell of it, it seems.
